Finally the good stuff ......
I had already two Sternkreuz eye loupes, the 10x & 5x magnifications, which I was very happy with. For the lower magnifications I used my el-cheapo Chinese made. They werent too bad, but I had to adopt them to fit my eye-socket .... originally the rim was too small. I tried several different el-cheapos, claiming to be of a certain magnification, but they all differed. Finally I could combine some materials, to spread the relative expensive signed for shipping cost, and I bought myself the Sternkreuz 2.8x and 3.3x magnification. 2.8x, 3.3x, 5x and 10x gives me a good spread for working on watches and on clocks. The Sternkreus loupes are clear, fit my eye-socket well, comfortable fit and quality which should last for the rest of my life ....... I should have bought them straight away, instead of struggling with cheap, but as usual; one learns as one goes along ......
